Breakfast is my favorite meal to feed my kids because it’s the only meal they will consistently eat every day. No matter how picky they are at lunch or dinner, I know they’ll wake up hungry and ready to eat. That’s why I make sure breakfast is packed with whole foods, healthy fats, and protein to keep them full and energized for the day ahead.
One of my favorite tricks is making extra portions of breakfast foods that can be stored and quickly reheated. When I make homemade waffles or pancakes, I whip up a big batch, store the extras in the fridge, and pop them into the toaster for a quick breakfast later in the week. The same trick works for oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, and prepped toppings for toast.

Pancakes & Waffles – Made with whole grains and natural sweeteners, these freeze well and reheat easily in the toaster for busy mornings. For you mama’s that have a sourdough starter, below is one of my favorite pancake/waffle recipe. This will make enough for them for a few days and work well for lunches!
